Children flourish in an ordered environment where everyone knows what is expected of them,
we expect our children to behave appropriately for their age at preschool.

Reward system
We help the children to do this by giving rewards for good behaviour and a green, yellow and red card system.
A green card is for showing them we are really happy with something they have done, a yellow card is a warning for inappropriate behaviour and a red card is for a second yellow card or a straight red. A red card means a visit to the ‘thinking spot’ for a 3 minute timeout. This system was devised with the children and has proved very effective.
Key person
We operate a Key Person system which means that every member of staff has a small group of children for whom they are particularly responsible.
Your child’s key person will be the person who works with you to ensure that what preschool provides is right for your child’s particular needs and interests. They will help your child settle in and will record your child’s development to ensure they are progressing as we would expect.
